Today I went up to Seattle for a nice walk and to think about what to draw for today's Motivation Monday.
I chose the quote on the bus and then thought on it during my errands and walk. I ended up having a great "ah-ha" moment of understanding.
I chose this quote from Nelson Mandela, "I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
Life is full of fears. They are all over the place. Some are personal, others cultural, and others human. Fears keep people from trying new things and achieving their goals.
Overcoming Fear is uncomfortable. If you want to overcome the fear you MUST do things we do not like to do, learn new things, and even join forces with others. You must take some kind of action. There is no more hiding and being comfortable in your little zone.
How to visualize this...
That is the hard part for me, usually.
The "ah-ha" moment is what came to save the day... and you will have to wait to see the result.
I have no free workspace!
Inktober is taking up some of my table, a painting is taped to the rest of the table. I have three things on my easle.
It will be a few days, and that makes me sad. I am sure the art will be worth the wait.
