July is already half over! I am not sure if I have done a lot or not much. Let's find out.
The beginning of July was so noisy. So many people shooting off fireworks at all hours of the day and night, for a week or so before and after. This gave me a lot of insomnia, which sucks. I got very unmotivated being tired. This means I did not finish many art projects.
This cute scene with painted frogs was finished on the 6th. I was thinking to have it as part of my LGBTQ+ themed art for July, but I just couldn't get it done. The heat and lack of sleep kept me from working on it as fast as I would have liked. I classify this as an illustration, as there is a story behind this scene. Someone just needs to write it.
Do you have a story for this scene?
This past weekend I did an art market. It went great. The cool thing is that I was feeling like painting and brought my portable easel. I painted these two 9x12 watercolor/gouache paintings are the results. I think they are fun, kind of relaxing, and loose.
Last night I finished the Year of the Rat! I am SOooOoo happy to have this year in the Chinese Zodiac done. There were so many lilies. I will not be ordering any products for this until I have a few more things to order. It will probably be over a month before I have anything else to order.
I don't think I could have done any better. It is busy, but that is what you get when your lucky plant is lilies.... all the freaking lilies... and African violets.
Oohh! I almost forgot that I updated my e-store with all the cool LGBTQ+ designs that I created.
I am really proud of the series and I hope you also like them.
I am not sure how to promote them without spending money on those scammy "businesses" that want you to pay for the 'exposure.' I am just going to keep pushing them out via social media.
The real take-a-way is, check out my e-store and support me by buying the stuff you like.
That is all I have for you today. I think this covers everything that has happened since my last post.
You can support me on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and watch me create art on Twitch!
